Fathers, is your son begging to spend more time with you? How about an excellent weekend where you and your son can deepen that everlasting bond between a father and a son? In this camp session, you will spend the weekend with other father/son combinations participating in the Zipline, Climbing Tower, swimming, boating, bazookaball, lessons and worship. All geared towards an inseparable bond between a son and his father while focusing on our heavenly Father. Memories are guaranteed to be made in this very popular session. Please eat dinner prior to arriving for this camp session. Both Father and Son must register as a camper. Participants will sleep in the Cedar Village Area. You must bring a sleeping bag or bedding.
Without a proper foundation a building will be unstable and collapse. In the same way, without a firm foundation, our lives will collapse around us. Jesus, as our only true and lasting foundation, is who we need to build our lives upon. As fathers, it is also our role to help our sons develop a firm foundation for their lives. Together, we will explore what it means to build a firm foundation on Jesus as we dig into 1 Corinthians 3:11 which states, “For no one can lay any foundation other that the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.”

What is your favorite Bible verse?
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6.)
What does camp ministry mean to you?
I attended Woodland Lakes as a camper as an elementary and junior high student. It is a privilege to have served on staff at WLCC since 2005. I love camp ministry because it is a great opportunity for campers and guests to get away from the normal routine of life and listen to God. The outdoors has always been a place where I am able to connect with God the best. I love serving in a way that provides people the opportunity to do the same.
What is your favorite camp memory?
I love gathering at the pool or lake at the end of a week of camp for baptisms and seeing the lives that have been changed!
What is your favorite dessert?
Homemade Ice cream
