Give your youngest campers a joyful first taste of camp at Day Camp, held from 9:00 AM–4:00 PM! This special session is designed to briefly introduce children to the excitement, friendships, and fun that make our camp so special—while sharing the very heart of why we exist: to proclaim the Gospel.
Through engaging activities, creative play, and age-appropriate Bible teaching, campers will explore this year’s theme, “Jesus Is the Way—Walk in the Way!” Anchored in Isaiah 30:21, children will learn how to listen for God’s guidance and choose to walk in His way each day. It’s a meaningful, fun-filled experience where faith comes alive and young hearts begin their journey of following Jesus. Join us for lessons about Jesus, games, crafts, singing, and swimming (shallow end only).
Get to Know the Dean
I am returning for my 6th summer on staff with Woodland Lakes. I will be graduating from Cedarville University this spring with a degree in Education and plan to be a Spanish Teacher.
What is your favorite Bible verse?
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.” (1 Corinthians 13:4-8)
I love this verse because it is a beautiful reminder about the Lord's love for me, and the ways in which I should love others.
What does camp ministry mean to you?
Camp ministry means a great deal to me. I have spent the last five summers—this coming summer being my sixth—working at Woodland Lakes, but my love for camp began much earlier when I was a camper myself. I truly believe that attending church camp can be life-changing for students of all ages. Spending my summers at WLCC has allowed me to see that impact firsthand, and it has been a joy to walk alongside campers as they grow in their faith, relationships, and confidence.
What is your favorite camp memory?
As a camper, my favorite camp memory was participating in camp activities. Specifically, one camp we had an Amazing Race, where we were broken into teams and had to complete various challenges and it was so much fun! As a staff member, my favorite memories are always around a campfire with my friends that I do life with all summer!
What is your favorite dessert?
If I had to choose one, it would be ice cream. But I have a sweet tooth and really like anything sweet.
