We are going to “dive in” exploring how God is always with us! We will learn how to trust in God through our highs and lows. Travel with us to find trust in God’s presence every day. Learn how he delivers us through challenges that take away our peace & joy as we focus on Isaiah 43:2.

 “When you pass through the waters,
    I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
    they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
    you will not be burned;
    the flames will not set you ablaze.”

About the Dean

Where are you involved at church?

I attend Community Christian Church in Bethel, Ohio. My heart is in missions. I am actively involved in mission work as close as my hometown of Bethel to as far away as Amazonas Brazil.

What is your favorite Bible verse?

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)

What does camp ministry mean to you?

When we are young we take steps in our spiritual growth through Christ. On one step we have our core family, another step is church. I look at camp ministry as another step up to strengthen a child’s faith. At the same time, children have a chance to break out of normal routines, have fun, develop new friendships, and focus on God.

What is your favorite camp memory?

I started attending camp at the age of 10. As an adult I still carry wonderful memories.  My most special memory is the year I found out a school friend was attending the same session of camp as me. I guess neither one of us felt very comfortable expressing our faith at school. That week at camp helped us both grow in our faith. We ended up coming back to school that fall and started a small Bible study during lunch time. We still connect every now and then and love to tell that story.

What is your favorite dessert?

I would have to say any flavor of ice cream.
